Legacy Sports Workshop
Date: 16 October 2008
Time: 9.30am - 12.00pm
Location: Hackney Wick Community Centre, The Old Baths, 80 East Way, Hackney E9 5JH
What’s it all about?
The Legacy Masterplan Framework (LMF) is a planning document that will enable development to take place inside the Olympic Park after 2012 to ensure a lasting legacy is created for London in terms of new homes, places of work, parkland, schools, health and sports facilities, and public transport.
This workshop will provide a great opportunity for you to find out more about the LMF process and to contribute your ideas and concerns as we work towards developing a preferred option for the Park after the 2012 Games. The primary focus of the workshop will be sports issues.
What will the session cover?
This workshop has been designed to explain the development of the LMF and show the latest plans for the Olympic Park in legacy with a specific focus on the issues of sport.
The workshop is aimed at oganisations working across London, specifically the East London region, with an interest in sports issues. There are other workshops taking place on other special interest topics including transport, environment, housing, employment and economy, arts and culture and social infrastructure. Please view the calendar for further details.
