The Art of Regeneration: creating an artistic and community legacy for London 2012
This lecture took place at Goldsmiths, University of London, where the Centre for Urban and Community Studies focus is on the cultural and visual exploration of the built and social fabric of cities. The debate centres around the artistic, cultural and community legacy of Olympic regeneration strategies.
Speakers included:

Hadrian Garrard, Host Boroughs Unit

Sarah Weir, Head of Arts and Cultural Strategy for the Olympic Delivery Authority

Emma Wheelhouse, Senior Stakeholder and Community Engagement Manager, Olympic Park Legacy Company

Professor Graeme Evans, Director of the Cities Institute, London Metropolitan University

Dr Hilary Powell, artist (unfortunately this speaker could not attend the event due to illness but she provided a recently published article)

The panel was chaired by the Director of the Centre, Professor Caroline Knowles. A photographic exhibition by Gesche Wuerfel supplemented the event.
