Lecture Series - Social and Cultural Change
Date: 3 December 2008
Time: 4.30pm - 8.00pm
Location: University of Greenwich (SE10 9LS)
The Social and Cultural Change lecture was held at the University of Greenwich on Wednesday 3 December, 2008.
The lecture focused on how existing communities are being supported in their preparation for the regeneration that the 2012 Games will bring. It reflected on the community engagement and consultation that has been carried out to support the planning process, as well as the sense of place that is being created with the input of local people. The lecture asked as many questions as it answers, seeking reflection on the programmes that are being established and how they can be improved to capture the widest range of community.
There were seven panellists at the Social and Cultural Change lecture who covered a wide range of topics including the exploration of social and cultural change anticipated post-Games and engaging and involving diverse groups.
