What was it all about?
Growing a New Piece of City: designing an Olympic legacy for 21st Century London
This lecture took place at University College London, where the Urban Lab focus is on changes in post-industrial cities. The panel presentations debate transformation of landscape and built environment in the Olympic Park in legacy mode and co-ordination of this with fringe master plans.
Speakers:
Eleanor Fawcett, Olympic Park Legacy Company
Dr Tony Lloyd-Jones, School of Architecture and the Built Environment, University of Westminister
Please note there is an error in this presentation which suggests that 150 hectares of parkland will be provided as Olympic Legacy, the more accurate figure is about 100 hectares of Open Public Space.
Iain Sinclair, Author
The panel was chaired by the director of the Urban Laboratory (Professor Matthew Gandy).
