It's our time, look to the future, look East!

Date: 17 July 2009

Time: 5pm - 8pm

Location: The Ocean, 270 Mare Street, London, E8 1HE

Have you heard what's being planned in the Olympic Park after 2012?

The Legacy Now Youth Panel (LNYP) want you to join them at The Ocean in Hackney this summer for a glimpse of East London’s future. Brought to life through a mix of video and sound projected onto a 3D model city by multimedia production company the Light Surgeons, there will be film screenings and a performance by popular urban artist, Dotstar. Dotstar, is 18 and a rising Hackney grown talent, currently supporting Killa Kela in concert, and headlining this event with his music. For those that are filled with curiosity or bursting with opinions, there’ll also be a lively debate along with free food and drink.

The event, as part of the CREATE09 festival, is a celebration and showcase of all the work that many young people have done over the last 10 months to help shape the legacy plans for the Olympic Park after 2012. You can also find out more about the event on Facebook.

To register for tickets please email julie@fundamental.uk.net, call or text 07961 374 772 or via Facebook.

Everyone is welcome; you just need to pre-register to join in! So help spread the word by putting the event details on any websites you use, in newsletters you are part of and up in your youth or community centres - we’d really appreciate it.

We look forward to seeing you there!
